Preview of Sony's NGP

What i like to refer to as the PSP version 2 is known as the Next Gen Portable. As you can see in the picture to the left its a Touchscreen display, I'm unsure about the dimensions but i know its a good size and ultra slim, so theres nothing to worry about there. You still get the usual keys and analogue but also now with an accelerometer, same as the PlayStation move. It comes with a resolution of 960x544 covering a OLED 5" screen. Giving it a vivid display, its not HD like most devices now but its outstandingly fast processor and Graphics make up for it. The specifications include a Quad-Core cortex A9 processor. We know this is good because it just used a bunch of big words and letters, well it defiantly better than its most recent competitor, Nintendo 3DS. Its new features outweigh its predecessors with a dual camera and connectivity of Wi-Fi, 3G and GPS. The release date or price isnt clear for this product but it is said to come during the 'holidays' which could be Christmas, well i hope so! I assume the price would be about $200, that seems about right, doesn't it? Tell me what you think, are you going to get it? An idea to put under the Christmas tree, or not?

  1. I remember that they said the NGP had a touchscreen on the back, as well as the front.
I"m still not entirely sure if that is fact, and if it is, what it offers for this device.
    Thoughts?

  10. With the newer generation of phones, you really have to aim high when it comes to hand-held gaming. Other than specs - what new does this PSP bring?

  12. 200 dollars is a good price point but in order to beat the Nintendo 3DS they hav eto go beyond simple tech specs. Do they have worthwhile games to go along with it as well?

  13. 200 $ isn't so expensive compared to the 3DS. Even if i lost my trust in Playstation and Sony I would prefer this one to the 3DS.
